About Author

January 27th, 2010

This blog contains some of my thoughts (the few I have) along with some of the scripts that I’ve created during my daily work as forensics analyst. I’m also the author of the tool log2timeline, a framework designed to automate the creation of a super timeline. I also contribute to the SANS forensics blog and if anyone is interested in my posts there, you can read access them here.

If you would like to contact me; for questions about my blogs, problems getting any of the script to work (or bug reports) or even if you would like to improve them, please send me a line to kristinn ( a t ) log2timeline ( d o t ) net.

And yes… my name is Kristinn and I’ve been working in computer security and forensics since 2005, my current certifications include GCFA, GCIH and GCIA from the SANS institute (where I also serve as a local mentor) as well as some vendor certifications.  I also hold a M.Sc. degree in computer and network engineering. I’m currently titled team leader of information security at Skyggnir, one of the leading ICT companies in Iceland.
